Miles for Marc was established to increase awareness and funding for genetic research in order to identify targeted drug therapies and ensure molecular testing for all lung cancer patients. Funds raised by Miles for Marc will go to support research for targeted drug therapies; in particular therapies which would treat EGFR Exon 20 – the mutation Marc Kuchler possessed, for which there is currently no cure. In support of this mission, we annually fund a partnering charitable organizations in their quest to double lung cancer survival by 2022.
But perhaps our most rewarding mission of all…we aim to provide much needed financial assistance to qualifying individuals in the Greater Philadelphia Area lung cancer community. It is our goal to ensure that local patients make choices about treatment not limited to what they can afford, rather what they need to survive. By helping to alleviate some of the financial burden that goes hand-in-hand with a cancer diagnosis, we hope to provide greater quality of life for patients and their families.
We are a grass-roots, family-run nonprofit with all funds raised going to fulfill our mission and ensure Marc’s legacy lives on!
